  1. Tabestry Makes Creating Guitar Tablature Easy and Fun!

  3. Tabestry is an entry-level Guitar Tablature music program 
  4. for Windows, designed for guitarists and other fretted (i.e bass, 
  5. banjo, mandolin) instrument music enthusiasts.  It allows 
  6. anyone to easily enter and print guitar tablature.

  8. Note: Tablature is a form of music notation used for fretted/stringed 
  9. instruments.  It was introduced over 2000 years ago as a system for 
  10. notating music for the lute.  It is now an extremely popular standard 
  11. for notating guitar music.

  13. Tabestry supports all fretted instruments with 4, 5, 6 and 7 strings 
  14. with fully customizable tuning for each string.   A floating tool 
  15. box provides tools for notating hammerons, pulloffs, up and down
  16. slides, ghost notes, bends, taps, slaps, pops and vibrato.  Additional 
  17. tools are provided for entering chords, rests, time signature, tempo
  18. markers, barlines, double barlines, repeats and rhythmic symbols.

  20. With Tabestry, the look of your tablature, both on-screen and 
  21. printed, is  very flexible.   You have full control over notespacing,
  22. line spacing, staff spacing.  Complete font control is also provided
  23. for  tablature notes, time signature, title, subtitle, comments, and
  24. text.  Each is independently selectable.

  27. format or ASCII tab file.  Importing of ASCII tablature is also
  28. supported.
